Over nine years ago Wallwik was invented, not by accident, but rather through an intense desire to address a problem that I had encountered in removing wallpaper in my own home.

Like many other families, we enjoy the beauty and rich, warm feeling that wallpaper adds to a home. Unfortunately, the task of taking off the old wallpaper fell to me, and it was a nightmare. I tried steamers, chemical solutions, scraping, and even replacing drywall to get rid of the old wallpaper. I finally came to the conclusion that there had "to be an easier way."

Through trial and error, the wallpaper removal process now known as Wallwik was developed. Believing that this easy wallpaper removal method would surely be a popular product, the plans for developing and marketing Wallwik began to take shape.
