As of the 31st November 2006 Wallwik Inc is under new ownership.

| | 9/22/2005 | Wallwik Meets This Old House
On September 22, 2005, Ed Knolmayer, V.P. Marketing & Sales drove to Plymouth, MN to partake in the Meet This Old House event being held at Home Depot. Kevin O’Connor and Roger Cook were the celebrities from the popular DIY show. After gaining permission from Chris Dick the producer of Ask This Old House to present a question to the unknowing Kevin O’Connor on wallpaper removal, Ed asked the question. The paraphrased question was, “Kevin you have done two shows on wallpaper removal can you share with the group your expertise on the two methods used.” Kevin expressed his pain on the first show that used the spray and scrape method and how terrible the process was. When he was presented with the second show using the Wallwik fabric system, he stated at first he was suprised by the fact that you needed to hang the sheets like wallpaper to get the wallpaper off. However, Kevin then stated that the “fabric sheets” (Wallwik) process did make the removal process much, much, easier.
After the Q&A, Ed went up to Kevin and introduced himself. Kevin was flabbergasted to meet the co-inventor of the New Wallwik system and said, “Did I present your product alright” and Ed’s response was “You did fine.” Roger Cook then added what I like about your product is it is reusable and easy to use. Ed added, "Don’t forget it is the safest wallpaper removal product on the market."
Side note: as of this date Home Depot still carries only an inferior wallpaper stripper to the Wallwik System. Most of these products are caustic and mislead the consumer with their false claim of “The Only One That Really Works.” As many dealers have stated, these products only work 50% of the time and require the “Spray & Scrape” method.

The schedule has been set and Wallwik will be on the hit TV show “Ask This Old House ®.” It is scheduled to air on January 20, 2005 in most PBS markets and January 27th in the Twin Cities area. However, check your individual PBS station to verify the time in your location. Ask for the schedule on Ask This Old House ®, Episode #316. The show will have Kevin O’Connor and Jim Clark showing how the Wallwik System works and reminiscing about Kevin’s first wallpaper removal project. Wallwik dealers take advantage of the publicity this show will surely provide and advertise in your local shopper or newspaper informing your market on the show and where they can buy the Wallwik System.

Chris Dick, producer of the hit TV show “Ask This Old House”, called to let us know that they had just finished shooting the segment on the Wallwik Wallpaper & Paste Remover System and everything went wonderfully. Chris said, “both Jim Clark and Kevin O’Connor were both very impressed on how Wallwik worked with out any scraping.” The show will air during their 2005 season and will give you an update when the exact date is confirmed.

The national radio program "On The House" with the Carey Bros. was aired live from the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas. Wallwik was selected to be on the show and Ed Knolmayer, V.P. Marketing & Sales, was interviewed. The Carey Bros were so impressed by the Wallwik System that they asked for samples to be sent to them. Samples have been sent and we’ll wait to hear what the Carey Bros have to say……

Campbell Hausefeld unveiled their new Wallpaper Removal Kit at the 2004 National Hardware Show in Las Vegas, NV. The Campbell kit features the Wallwik fabric, Wallwik Scoring Tool, Wallwik Power Solution and a battery operated sprayer. During the show HGTV covered Campbell’s new products and showed their new Wallwik kit.

For those of you that wonder how fast we removed the wallpaper in Kathy & Dan's family room, well Kathy and Ed did it the day after in about 2 hours. The TV program didn't show that we decide to pull the facing off after discovering it was peelable wallpaper and didn’t have to score the wall. When Ed told Kathy that “She had the Power”, little did she know that Ed was working on the new Wallwik product called Wallwik Power solution.
